Dataiku Online Billing Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ is meant to cover billing and invoicing related questions. 

What are my commitment options when subscribing to Dataiku Online?

Once you have selected the plan that suits you, you can either go for an annual subscription or a monthly subscription.

How will my subscription to Dataiku Online be billed?

You will be billed monthly at the beginning of the billing period. Your renewal date is available for viewing from the subscription menu.

What currencies do you accept for payment?

Currently, we only accept payments in USD. 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We use Stripe to process and secure payments. Please ensure that you are using an accepted credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover).

If payment is declined, Dataiku will retry to process the payment from your credit card to see if we get a successful charge. If your monthly invoice payment continues to be declined, Dataiku will cut your access to the service after 14 days of nonpayment.

Are discounts available for Dataiku Online?

Dataiku offers a discount for Dataiku Online subscriptions of 12 months or more.

Can I edit my configuration during my subscription? 

Your configuration is the number of Dataiku DSS instances, the computing and storage power that defines your plan. 

Your configuration is flexible when you subscribe to the Orbit plan. If you are on the Ignition or Booster plans, there is no flexibility in terms of configuration. If you would like to upgrade to Orbit, please contact us

When you subscribe to the Orbit plan, you define your monthly recurring charge. It depends on the nature and number of the resources (Dataiku DSS, data processing capacity, concurrent activities) setting your platform configuration. For Orbit, there is a minimum monthly subscription charge of $1,700. 

If you sign up for a minimum 12 months or longer for the Orbit subscription, your minimum monthly charge can not decrease below what you elected at the start of your subscription.

To ensure flexibility in your platform deployment, you can add extra resources to your subscription (by payment of additional subscription charges) whenever it suits you. The extra resources are available from the day you add them until the end of the current month. You can also reallocate your extra charges to other resources at your will.

The associated prorated additional extra charges will be on your next invoice, at the end of the current month.

If you would like to upgrade your recurring resources, you can do so from Dataiku Online’s subscription menu. 

Your monthly amount will never decrease in a month, but can stay the same or increase. You can only decrease the amounts for the subsequent month.

Your final cost is entirely predictable as there are no additional charges for users or compute time.

Can I upgrade my Dataiku Online edition during my subscription?

Whether you are on a monthly or annual subscription, you can upgrade your Dataiku Online plan from Ignition to Booster at any time from Dataiku Online’s subscription menu. Your new plan will be immediately available. 

If you want to upgrade from Booster to Orbit, please contact us so we can help you choose the best configuration for your subscription.

The associated prorated additional extra charges will be on your next invoice, at the end of the current month.

Can I downgrade my Dataiku Online edition during my subscription?

In case you want to downgrade your monthly subscription plan from Orbit to Booster or Ignition, or from Booster to Ignition, you can do so from Dataiku Online’s subscription menu. The new subscription plan will be active for the next billing period.  

The downgrade of your annual subscription will apply in the following year.

Note that all committed subscriptions are due, and Dataiku will not reimburse your already paid subscription.

Can I cancel my subscription?

To terminate your current subscription, you’ll find a button from Dataiku Online’s subscription menu. Also, you can contact us at [email protected]

Your subscription plan will automatically end at the end of your current committed period (month or year).

Note that all committed subscriptions are due and that Dataiku will not reimburse your already paid subscription.

What happens at the end of my subscription?

At the end of your yearly or monthly subscription, your subscription to Dataiku Online is automatically renewed.
